Important Announcement

The Embassy of the Republic of Burundi in Washington, D.C., would like to inform the public that starting effectively from Monday, November 16, 2020, the Embassy will resume receiving visa applications.

The processing time is 15 working days.

 

Also, all travelers entering or leaving Burundian territory must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test carried out before 72 hours of boarding.

 

The screening test ($100.00) and hotel costs are the responsibility of the traveler. For further details on visa applications, kindly check our consular section.

The Embassy of the Republic of Burundi to the United States of America would like to inform the public that due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Embassy is closed from this Wednesday 18th ,2020 until further notice.


In order to strengthen individual and collective measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19, the Embassy will not be able to process new visa applications until further notice. Visas applications already dropped in the Embassy will be proceed without the warranty of the normal process time of 15 working days.
