The Embassy of the Republic of Burundi in Washington, D.C., would like to inform the public that starting effectively from Monday, November 16, 2020, the Embassy will resume receiving visa applications.
The processing time is 15 working days.
Also, all travelers entering or leaving Burundian territory must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test carried out before 72 hours of boarding.
The screening test ($100.00) and hotel costs are the responsibility of the traveler. For further details on visa applications, kindly check our consular section.

Mr. Benjamin Manirakiza is the First Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Burundi in the United
States of America.
Major General Albert NTAMASAMBIRO is the Military attache at the Embassy of the Republic of Burundi in the United States of America.
It is of costume to have Burundi Nationals work alongside our Diplomats, and they have done so for over fifty (50) years now! With their precious help, Burundi foreign service personnel in the United States have succeeded in tightening the relationship between the U.S. and the Republic of Burundi.
